How this test works
Measure typing speed and accuracy with original English or Spanish texts. Choose 15 to 300 seconds and review personal results locally.
One standard word is 5 Unicode code points, including spaces. WPM = current correct characters ÷ 5 ÷ elapsed minutes. Raw WPM = all inserted characters ÷ 5 ÷ elapsed minutes, including later deletions. Accuracy = correct ÷ (correct + incorrect + extra + missed) × 100. Total excludes missed characters. Corrections update current counts. Unattempted text is not missed. Each space advances a word; backspace can return to previous words. The active word is compared to a prefix. Complex emoji can count as several code points.
